Bora Bora
four seasons resort
Outside of The World, in the
actual world, other island developers are
taking a less-is-more approach, hoping
to lure buyers with privacy. In the South
Pacific, the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
will include 15 private homes built in the
traditional Polynesian style with pandanusthatched
roofs. Each of the fully furnished
residences, designed by Yabu Pushelberg,
will have hand-scraped smoked oak wood
flooring, limestone-tiled baths with freestanding
stone tubs and outdoor rain showers,
and custom furniture, linens, and rugs.
Outdoor spaces will be designed for entertaining
and enjoying the marine-tropical
climate, with seating for up to 30 people,
infinity pools, hot tubs, and kitchens. Buyers
can add a guest house that includes a spa,
open-air gym, and outdoor yoga area.
The residences will be tucked away in a
discreet section of the resort, yet owners will
have access to all resort amenities, including
restaurants, spa, and beach recreation.
A round-the-clock concierge will arrange
active and cultural excursions such as snorkeling
along the coral reef that fringes the
5.5-mile long island, kite boarding, catamaran
sailing, and guided tours of Bora Bora’s
ecological and cultural elements. When not
in residence, owners may adopt the Bora
Boran philosophy of “alta pea pea,” which
means “not to worry.” Four Seasons management
handles all maintenance, as well as
an optional rental program.
